Seikyo Crowned with Two Gold Medals at the 2017 Hiroshima Regional Taxation Bureau Chugoku Sake Awards

Seventy breweries from the five prefectures of the Chugoku region submitted a total of 187 sake varieties in three categories: Kaori (Flavor) [67 entries], Aji (Taste) [63 entries] and Warm Sake [57 entries]. Gold Medals were awarded to 71 of these sake varieties.

 

Nakao Brewery received Gold Medals in two of these categories.

◆Aji (Taste) Category: Seikyo Junmai Ginjo Omachi

◆Warm Sake Category: Seikyo Junmai Takehara

 

[About the Hiroshima Regional Taxation Bureau Chugoku Sake Awards]

This competition is held to raise the technical level of sake brewers in the five prefectures under the jurisdiction of the Hiroshima Regional Taxation Bureau, thereby contributing to the sound development of the sake brewing industry in Japan. Gold medal-winning sake varieties are chosen on the basis of balanced aroma and flavor, clean aftertaste, and highly rated technical skills.
